Wood carver and sculptor
Patrick Burke is steeped deep in the traditions of the Decorative Arts with more than 25 years of experience.
Patrick’s introduction to the trades started at a young age under the guidance of his father who is a millworker and furniture maker. Growing up his love of making things was apparent , while ,learning drafting , carving and furniture making in his father’s shop. Post high school Pat worked with a Scottish Furniture Maker in CA who specialized in early 18th century English Furniture. Pat then traveled to Northern Italy where he obtained a figurative wood sculpting apprenticeship.
Upon his return in 2007 Patrick started his own company focusing primarily on carving, furniture making , and sculpture.
Currently Burke’s projects range from residential new builds and renovations, restorations, yacht interiors, as well as reproduction work for museums and private collections. The majority of Pat’s work is woodcarving and design , but he also offers other services such as fine furniture , prototyping, and sculpture in bronze, plaster, stucco and resin.
Patrick brings a wealth of knowledge of traditional techniques and the history and styles of period ornaments and sculpture. Pat puts his many years of in-depth expertise , working with architects, interior designers, and private clients to bring their ideas and visions to life.
